Dr. Paul Aho, a native of Connecticut, is an international
agribusiness economist specializing in projects related to the
poultry industry but working in other areas as well, including
aquaculture. Academically, he has earned a BS in Agricultural
Economics at Cornell University, an MS in International Agribusiness
at Arizona State University, and a Ph.D. in Poultry Economics
at Michigan State University. His work experience includes academic
positions in the Poultry Departments at Cornell University and
the University of Georgia and agribusiness experience at two
of the world's largest poultry breeding companies. Dr. Aho speaks
Spanish fluently as a result of numerous trips to Latin America
including a one-year university exchange program at the Universidad
de Buenos Aires in Argentina.
Dr. Aho is a prolific writer in trade journals in both the
United States and in Latin America. He has written over 100
articles in Broiler Industry, Poultry Times, Poultry Digest,
Industria Avicola, and other periodicals. He has been invited
to speak at numerous poultry and agribusiness conventions including
the International Agribusiness Management Association, Southeastern
International Trade Show, Congreso Latinoamericano de Avicultura
and others.
Dr. Aho now operates his own consulting company "Poultry
Perspective" through which he has worked with agribusiness
managers and government policy makers around the world
