Scams abound in society on a variety of different levels. You’ll find them everywhere you go, and if you look closely, you might have already fallen for some. Avoiding clever scams in the digital age is not an easy thing to do, but there are some things that you can do to avoid getting fooled into giving out your money. Playing the lottery for instance, seems like a fun thing, but it turns sour when you get conned out of your hard earned cash. Did you know that there were scams with the lotto? No, it has nothing to do with software, strategies, or books; it has everything to do with how cunning some of these scammers are, and how bad people want the million dollar jackpots. Consider the following scams to avoid, and always watch your money and where it goes. 사설토토

Fake Scratchers – The first and often times obvious scam presents itself with scratchers. You’ll find that there are counterfeit lotto scratch offs being pushed by lesser-known discount stores, and beyond. They are sold in back alleys, convenience stores, and sometimes given to a person as a “winning” ticket that they cannot cash, and upon trying to trade it in, trouble follows. To avoid being trapped here, simply make sure that the store that you’re visiting to purchase your tickets is in fact an authorized retailer of the lottery in your state. If not, avoid them; you might be sorry if you don’t.

Fake Lotto Picks – The paper feels right, the colors, text, and even Lotto logo are well in place, but guess what? They are fake. This too is a scam that is often times seen at what appears to be legitimate places of business, and when you come back to complain, they’ll quickly point to the “all sales final” sign. Don’t be fooled, once again, look to see if the store you’re shopping at is an official retailer, otherwise, buyer beware.

Winning Scams – Recently, in Riverside California, a small community was rocked by winning lottery scams. These worked in a unique way and pulled several thousands from individuals whom were too ashamed at the thought of cheating the lottery to come forward, but police have been on the trail. How does it happen? Well, it’s a con job like many others. A person asks the victim to cash in a winning lottery ticket because the holder cannot do so for a variety of reasons. In order to cash it in though, first the victim must pay a nominal fee and from there cash in the ticket and split the money with the original holder. The exchange of money is made, the ticket is given to the victim and they try to cash it in, only to find out that it’s fake. By that point, the con has already ran off and talked to a new person about the winning ticket. This is a prevalent scam with pick 3, pick 5, and Powerball lotteries, and is not too uncommon. Many news articles have been written about this scam, and the best thing you can do is become aware of what’s going on, and never pay for a winning ticket that isn’t from a retailer.

The above are 3 scams that happen often. The last one being the most recently highlighted scam in the newspapers across the nation. Watch out, and be safe, you can win the lotto; it just takes some skill, time, and luck.
